A note from The Beautiful For Thee Editor:

The thoughts presented from Dianne on Choice Silver, come from her personal experience from her bed of affliction. She lives with physical debilitation, every day. Pain and weakness are her constant companions. Her words of wisdom are not the empty babblings of pious Christianity, but truth learned first hand. Her faith is real. Most days, that is all she has to lean on. Because of adversity…she is growing strong in the Lord and she inspires me.

May all who read her thoughts, be blessed and challenged.

Making The Best Of Your Days

There are some things I've noticed as I'm growing older.

One thing is... It happened a lot faster than I expected.

And... another thing... gray hair does not curl like blonde hair.  In fact my gray hair does not curl at all!

At first I just pulled those gray hairs out thinking they were rebellious and needed to go. But, now there are way too many

I have lots of gray hair!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure there are many other things that will surprise me along the way… if I live long enough to experience them.

I just kind of wish someone would give me a heads up on some of those things. I wish I could be warned ahead of time.

My skin has changed, my hair has changed, my strength has changed, my brain has changed and everything mostly hurts.

This is just how I am now.  I'm dealing with it pretty well I think.  I'll be ok I guess.

Proverbs 20:29  "The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the gray head."   WHAT!  Oh… wait! It says men!

Hosea 7:9  "Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not."

I can see that growing older is inevitable, so I must succumb.   I'm so glad I can make this journey with my Lord.

Job 14:1-2  "Man that is born of a woman is of a few days, and full of trouble.  He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down:  he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not."

Make the best of your short days.  Pluck the gray hairs if you must.  Take care of your temple  as best you can and be happy on this ride!

Why do we women hate grey hair so much? Depending on whose wearing it, he Bible makes it sound like a really good thing. Proverbs 16:31 "The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness."

I sure do want to wear my grey hair right. I loved your thoughts here Dianne. I love you too!

I would be bald if I plucked out all the gray hairs! Hair color is not the thing that plagues me about getting older, it is the aches and pains. But the Bible says God won't give me more than I can bear and I think that covers physical ailments as well. Thank you for making me remind myself of that. I love you.
