A note from The Beautiful For Thee Editor:

The thoughts presented from Dianne on Choice Silver, come from her personal experience from her bed of affliction. She lives with physical debilitation, every day. Pain and weakness are her constant companions. Her words of wisdom are not the empty babblings of pious Christianity, but truth learned first hand. Her faith is real. Most days, that is all she has to lean on. Because of adversity…she is growing strong in the Lord and she inspires me.

May all who read her thoughts, be blessed and challenged.

My Thoughts in the Night...

Isaiah 43:2 “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”

It's the middle of the night, and the burdens of life are keeping me awake. I know what I must do. I need to pray and run to Gods' Word. He meets me in it's pages and encourages my heart. I need the refuge He gives. I love reading the Psalms.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1

Proverbs 18:10 “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”

I read Isaiah 26:3 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

And… before I know it, peace floods my heart and I remember once again that my heavenly Father sees what I cannot see, and I am determined to trust Him. Before I fall asleep, I ask God to do for me what He did for King David. Psalm 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”

I can sleep now… for my heart is safe with the Keeper of my soul.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Its morning… and my heart and mind are fixed on the truth of God's Word. Today I remember the sweet fellowship I had with the Lord in the night.
Psalm 77:6 “I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.”
My circumstances have not changed. The same trials that tried to steal my joy and my night’s rest yesterday, are still knocking at my heart’s door today. But I am not alone. I never was to begin with.
Isaiah 43:2 says, "God will be with me through everything."
I read my "encouraging words for women" calendar this morning and this is what it said.
God doesn't say "if you pass through the waters," or if you pass through the fire; No, He says "when". It's a given that we will have those experiences. But God does say that we will not go through those experiences alone. He will be with us.
I just want to encourage the heart of someone that may be going through a fire or flood time. Cling to the Lord and His Word and trust Him with all your heart. He will never fail you.
If you find that you cannot do this…please search your heart for His indwelling Presence.
The best part of all is finding precious treasure in your time of suffering. Suffering isn’t all bad. It can do some wonderful things in our life if we surrender to it.
Philippians 3:10 “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;”
That I may know Him….What ever it takes.
Hugs from my heart,
Dianne
