About 2:00 this morning, my hurting, aching body woke me up. We all have nights like that, right? So, I got out my prayer list. You know...the one Mrs. Shaffer handed out two G.A. meetings ago?
I went through it as I do real often. Over the last year or so, I've written next to the name of each request, the prayers that have been answered! There have been a lot of answered prayers for the ladies of NTBC! There are also some new requests and probably many requests that we don't even know about. Some of us are in the.....wait on God and rest in Him stage. It's ok though, because in that place we don't have to fret about even one little thing. God has everything under control. I know.... because I was reading about it in Hebrews--at 2:00 AM!!!
I found the answer to the million dollar questions of global warming, melting ice caps, hurricanes, floods, volcanos, earthquakes and so on. TADA!!!
Hebrews 1:10-12 "And, thou, LORD, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thy hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail."
I went back to sleep laughing and praising God. He is too wonderful for words! God hasn't changed. He never will! He made everything and it's just getting old. He is getting ready to make a new heaven and a new earth.
So...I guess the real million dollar question is.....are we ready for what is coming? Is our spiritual house in order?
I hope you have a great day!
Dianne
A note from The Beautiful For Thee Editor:
The thoughts presented from Dianne on Choice Silver, come from her personal experience from her bed of affliction. She lives with physical debilitation, every day. Pain and weakness are her constant companions. Her words of wisdom are not the empty babblings of pious Christianity, but truth learned first hand. Her faith is real. Most days, that is all she has to lean on. Because of adversity…she is growing strong in the Lord and she inspires me.
May all who read her thoughts, be blessed and challenged.

thank you Mrs. Cobb for writing this! sometimes i get so caught up in my daily routine that i can easily forget that even when things aren't going the way that I think they should; God is still in control. I love you!
